The state capital of Munich, with a population of around 1.59 million (as of 2023), is one of the most important economic and cultural centers in the Federal Republic and offers a high quality of life due to its proximity to the Alps and the "cultural landscape of the five-Lakes Region". With the "Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität" and the "TU Munich", the state capital has national and international significance as a location for knowledge. Munich is home to many international companies such as BMW AG, Siemens AG, MAN SE, Allianz SE, etc. EXPO REAL is one of the largest real estate trade fairs in Munich, where KENSTONE is represented by a stand.
The Munich location was opened in 2011 and, together with the Stuttgart location, is mainly active in the south of Germany. The areas of activity include in particular the Upper and lower Franconia, Middle Franconia, Upper Palatinate, lower Bavaria, Upper Bavaria and parts of Schwabens. Since the opening of the Munich office, more than 18,700 reports with a valuation volume of over €77 billion have been prepared.
The main areas of assessment are residential (ETW, EFH, MFH) and commercial (residential and commercial buildings, offices, retail stores, etc.) for credit institutions as well as developers and project developers. Due to the regional circumstances, a high level of expertise has developed at the Munich location in the evaluation of high-priced residential properties such as villas and luxury apartments.
The KENSTONE team consists of 15 employees (11 experts, 1 student and 2 assistants) and also Dr. Michael Brandl, Managing Director of KENSTONE Real Estate Valuers is also based in Munich and available to you. Sebastian Hopfner studied architecture at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and subsequently completed his post-graduate course as a Master of Business Administration (MBA). In 2010, Sebastian Hopfner also graduated from the ADI Academy of real Estate Economics with professional contact studies. He gained his first professional experience at Catella property Valuation GmbH and at the Asset and Investment Manager CR Investment Management GmbH, which was created by means of a management buy-out from the Catella property Group. After that, Sebastian Hopfner spent eleven years at Deutsche Pfandbriefbank AG in the area of property analysis & Valuation. In October 2021, Sebastian Hopfner joined the KENSTONE and took over the regional management for the Munich location. Sebastian Hopfner is HypZert F-certified and a professional member of RICS.
